It’s been a long weekend and I’ve been out here and there mostly shooting the 50D. So there are not too many iPhone snapshots available, even though I rediscover this great little camera over and over again (:

#1 is just some weird ceiling structures in the building of our office.

#2 ENAQ, our absolute favorite roti prata restaurant is back with their own shop. There’s one ENAQ right downstairs my flat, but somehow the taste does not represent their good reputation. Well the shop is much better, I am going to hang around there often.

#3 I saw this on a evening stroll with my wife and baby. Asians may not be looking twice, since they know about the meaning, but especially Germans may start screaming now. Read here first.

I met him on the way back from a little photo tour in the morning. He approached me happily asking me to stand on a huge pile of dirt and he wanted to take my picture. I noticed the strong smell of alcohol already from a couple of meters away. Well instead of giving him my camera, I asked him friendly whether he would not want me to take a picture of him – he agreed, combed his hair with his bare hands and started to pose. While shooting a few shots I had a little conversation with him and found out that his name is Rico, he is staying in Singapore all his life and has a daughter. Her name is Rica, which means rich. He was a very friendly person and I think he was very happy that someone spoke to him and gave him some respect even though he was under strong influence of alcohol. I told him I had to leave – he gave me a high five and from a few steps away I could hear him shout “God bless you, God bless you”

It’s getting pretty tough to keep up the shots of the day. There are a lot o shots recently. I’ve had an outstanding weekend trip with my wife and baby. Some of those pictures will be released on my flickr account, but most of it on our private accts on facebook.

Well here on this website, for now I will keep it to the little snapshots on the side of the road.

Somehow, on that day they did not switch on the light at our office carpark. So the only light brightening up the area was the daylight at the ramp. In the corners it was pitch black and pretty scary.

Today we get back to really simple snapshot style – but isn’t simplicity the most important?

OK since it’s Friday today, here a little Video on you tube to get your creative engines running for the weekend.

The sun plays an important role in my life – its not the first time that I stop somewhere and take an extra round through the evening jam, just to get a nice shot of the sunset. Unfortunately I see the morning sunset relatively seldom – can’t kick my butt out of bed…

This last shot was kind of funny – This is a stack of approximately 20 (just under one wiper) “LAST WARNING’s” I guess the guy forgot about his car..

Today just one shot due to very limited time. There’s a hidden funny little self in this picture.

EDIT: I just stumbled upon a shot I took with PhotoBooth from the Macbook a couple of days back. Well, Rudi is growing so rapidly right now that I better show it straight away before its outdated

Yesterday was a good day, I’ve been able to achieve something and it made me happy. I’ve noticed there is a new habit with me.

Even though I was carrying around the 50D for the whole day I did not even bother to take it out of the bag for some quick shots, whenever I see a nice scene the right thumb moves into the “slide to unlock” position and the phone does the rest.

I am curious to see your shots of the day – anything to share? (I would not mind featuring some right here)
