Shot’s of the day

I’ve always been hunting for the right integration of my phone camera and the interwebs. Well it seems now everything gets together, thanks to Chase Jarvis and Team. They’ve released an iPhone app and website to shoot, edit and publish mobile snapsots thebestcamera.com Have a look around and If you are an iphone user and don’t mind spending $3, go and purchase the app. Some of my results can be seen in my profile

Have you met Ris Low?

Bloody f***ing sh*t, how could I miss out on Ris Loooooow? Maybe it’s because I do not care much about all this local beauty, catwalk, fashion stuff. I just keep this without words, have a look at the video and judge yourself about the new Miss Singapore World.

Shot’s of the Day

Today I had a little walk outside the office to get my head cleared of all the business stuff for a while. There are so many things to shoot out there on the roads, sidewalks, carparks etc. I am really glad that apple managed to fix a proper camera inside their iphone – its pure joy to shoot this thing :)

I’ve done some shot’s with the 50D last night and this morning. Usually I post those shots to my flickr

The Cake Experiment

The story to this wonderful cake can be found on flickr, just click the picture.

Shot’s of the day

Hey there has been a stack of new IPhone shots piling up on my phone without being published. Bummer!

I’ve had a look at Tumblr today and its so easy to upload pictures, video, audio and text there – maybe I’ll be changing the a tumblr blog soon, so I could even publish directly from my Iphone. We’ll see.

Shot’s of the day

My wife bought a chili plant. That cool, I love the home made chili sauces (even though I can’t take much *gg)

These days there’s a lot of rain. Thats great, the weather is quite cool and not so stuffy.

Shot’s of the day

Today was a very fruitful day for my IPhone Shot’s hobby. While I should actually be working on www.saltpluspepper.com I’ve spent the “lunchbreak” walking outside the office to discover some pretty shots. I’ll get straight to the point:

My personal fav. is the last one. Which is yours?

———-UPDATE:

I just had a little inspiration while walking through the flat :)

these shoes are made for walking...

Shot’s of the day

Whoops, that was fast. Somehow the Friday night is still in my memory while the whole weekend is history already. sad. Its 1:15am I am slurping delicious Wanton Mee and looking through some of my IPhone shots.

Here we go – Rudi in the morning when I left for work and in the evening when I got home (looks like he spent his whole day right in front of the door)

Isn’t he a sweety?

Sucking does not kill

This one is an interesting new packaging for chupa chups lollypops. My wife found those at a local 7Eleven. I could not resist taking some shots.

Last but not least one thing I have to criticise about our beautiful island of Singapore: The surveillance. It’s insane there are cameras everywhere. You can’t scratch your *censored* or dig ur nose without being recorded on tape. Here a little example I saw in a cakeshop (!) yesterday. Ohh and btw the whole shop was maybe 2×4m “large”

Shots of the day

Today we’ve got a beautiful old barber chair. Standing somewhere outside in the wild. I’d love to have one like this at home, maybe as a computer chair (?) or maybe inside the living room. It would make a nice spot for fashion shot’s as well.

Well apart from that there was not much time and mood for new Shots of the day. Mostly we’ve been out at night, walking with the boy. That’s not the perfect light situation for the iPhone camera. So here a little edit of my two sweeties.

Right now, Friday afternoon the weather seems be prepare itself for the weekend

Announcement

Well, the world is full of photographers. When I went to the Zoo with my wife and son last weekend, I saw every second person there was carrying a DSLR. No, not the entry level stuff – big cameras, expensive cameras.

This made me go and hunt for their pictures online, I went to flickr, deviantart, some local websites and the results are interesting…

There are definitely people with great sense for Art, design and light. But most of them just put their 1000+$ cam to Auto mode and fire. That’s sad and encouraging at the same time.

Because this gives me the drive to offer my photography services to other people on a freelance basis.

I think it’s not about the Price tag of your camera, I think it’s about creativity and the inner motivation to capture great moments.

Feel free to drop by my new online portfolio (which will be changing over time) at
